| recreation available around here such as playing golf, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
Some nearby water includes Willow Creek; the friendly people of Escanaba like to hang out nearby. Gladstone Ski Park has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Escanaba Country Club.

golf is lots of fun at Terrace Bluff Golf & Country Club, and if you come at the right time of year, Ford River offers some tremendous whitewater. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Escanaba River; Lake Michigan is next to Rock Island
State Park which is a stunning place.
This is a great campground. Newport State Park is a delightful site to stretch your legs a bit, and a round of golf at nearby Highland Golf Club is a splendid way to kill some time. At Lake Michigan amusing stuff to do is plentiful, and spending time at this campground is fantastically fun.
