Gladstone Ski Park obtains on average 4 feet of wonderful snow per winter and has a   tremendous 200-foot drop. On nearby Ford River you come upon a class II-III part of whitewater; the Highway 2 to Highway 35 section is 7.75 miles long. This part of Ford River is suitable for whitewater paddlers who have been whitewater paddling for some time but who are not yet ready for the very perilous rapids.
