Croton Dam Float Trips, Michigan   Offering canoe, kayak, raft, & tube adventures on the Big Muskegon River departing from Croton Dam. Accepting reservations for 2009 equipment rentals beginning May 1, 2009. Reservations highly recommended as we offer the lowest rates on the Muskegon River in the Newaygo Area for your river adventures. Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical     sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season. Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam. We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River. We do offer a car spotting service to take your vehicles down river while you boat, canoe, or kayak the river. We also provide transportation services for individuals and their own equipment for a reasonable fee. Small camp store on premisis. Ice & Firewood Available. Little Muskegon River is a scenic stream that is worth going to, and folks from   Newaygo love to come here. Croton Dam is a lovely place close to Croton Dam Float Trips. This campground has so much. Really great skiing awaits you at Cannonsburg, and the Hungerford Cross Country Ski Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Croton Dam Float Trips throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Croton Dam Float Trips. Croton Dam Float Trips is a good place of typical precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically September, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
