The slopes of Boyne Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and there are other locations     here than Camp Kinawind, for example Lake Thumb. An average amount of rainfall falls at Camp Kinawind; most of the rain falls through September, and the driest month is February. For the period of the warm months highs here at Camp Kinawind reach the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Camp Kinawind dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Otsego Lake State Park is a good place to stop at on a gorgeous day, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Bear River. This campground is so great. Going to Petoskey State Park near Camp Kinawind is a magnificent thing to do, and at Camp Kinawind you always meet someone from Boyne Falls. Be careful coming to Camp Kinawind, you might not ever wanna return home again.
