If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Assabet River, and obviously Hemlock Brook flows through this neighborhood. The panorama of Bald Hill from Winding Brook Camping Area is beautiful, and going for a hike on the Munyan Trail is always a good adventure.

While you're here at Winding Brook Camping Area you can play some golf at Blissful Meadows Golf Club, and YWCA Beach is pretty nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. This campground is a delightful spot to stop at.
You can run the rapids of Clear and Branch right next door to Winding Brook Camping Area, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Ross Trail. The good local attractions and the good variety of outdoors recreation will without doubt have you coming back repeatedly.
Throughout the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Winding Brook Camping Area while night lows are typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Winding Brook Camping Area. Coming to
this campground is always a delightful idea. A journey to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is recommended; a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Douglas State Forest.
A lot of folks stay here in order to be close to YWCA Beach. All the
water falling down from the sky makes Winding Brook Camping Area a wet site; throughout November this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. It's impossible to run out of fun things to do in the neighborhood of Winding Brook Camping Area; it is one of
many nice campgrounds in this area.
A good spot for whitewater paddling close to Winding Brook Camping Area is Quinebaug River, and while you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Edgewood Golf Course. Dudley Pond Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and you can always
enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Flynns Beach.
While visiting this area in Massachusetts it's a nice idea to go for a camping trip too. There's plenty of outdoors recreation available in close proximity such as playing golf, fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things to do.
