If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Assabet River, and obviously Hemlock Brook flows through this neighborhood. stop by, and you can go for a hike on the Walkabout Trail. While you're here at Winding Brook Camping Area you can play some golf at Blissful Meadows Golf Club, and YWCA Beach is pretty nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. This campground is a delightful spot to stop at.
You can run the rapids of Clear and Branch right next door to Winding Brook Camping Area, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Ross Trail. The good local attractions and the good variety of outdoors recreation will without doubt have you coming back repeatedly.
