If you're looking for a beach near Shady Acres, we recommend Stephens Field Beach, and if you're visiting from South Carver, you won't be the only one. Mayflower Road Dam has glorious water scenery and it's next to Shady Acres, and Pilgrim Memorial State Park (Plymouth Rock) is a delightful location.

| Quite a lot of enjoyable things to do close to Shady Acres, and to be at this campground is nice fun any time. There's a lot of outdoors recreation available in the vicinity such as swimming, playing golf, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so running out of amusing things to do won’t happen.

For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Shady Acres sink into the 10's. Lakes are great; Federal Pond is a lake that's
in close proximity to Shady Acres, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cohasset Tidal Rip.
Some people stay at this campground to stop at nearby Pilgrim Memorial State Park (Plymouth Rock). If you're here at Shady Acres and you like
golf, you can pop by Southers Marsh Golf Club, and some of the water nearby flows, like Tilson Brook.
The nice people who run this location and the admirably kept up facilities have people coming here. Finally, camping season is here again, and Shady Acres is a nice local campground if you happen to be in Massachusetts.
