Everybody loves October Mountain State Forest, and Columbia Mill Dam is a scenic location. This campground is so delightful. Bousquet has great slopes and a friendly staff, needless to say you could also pop by Housatonic River Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. If you go for the outdoors, you
won’t be disappointed; there's whitewater paddling, swimming, hiking, fishing, and playing golf, so almost certainly you want to stick around for a while. Lots of folks stay at this campground to be in the vicinity of October Mountain State Forest.
If you're a golfer then a
glorious nearby course is Greenock Country Club, and if you come at the right time of year, Konkapot Brook offers some glorious whitewater. The folks who care for the campground and the multitude of cool stuff to do are rather mind-boggling. Maple Glade Campground is positioned
in a neighborhood with lots of cool stuff to do; if you're trying to locate a great site to go camping, this is a pleasant selection.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Farmington River - West Branch; do take a hike on
the Brickhouse Mountain Trail. Through the summertime here at Maple Glade Campground, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Maple Glade Campground.
