Loads of folks camp here so they can go to Douglas State Forest. If       time allows, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth checking out. Not far from Holbrook's Camping Grounds, you'll hit upon Lake Chaubunagungamaug which is a wonderful lake. Dark Brook   is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting. Playing golf is lots of fun at Acoaxet Golf Club, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Wachusett Mountain while you're here. Very nice water scenery is available at Sutton Falls Dam close to Holbrook's Camping Grounds. Near Holbrook's Camping Grounds you locate the Walkabout Trail which is a good hiking trail; chill with a great game of mini golf at close by Monster Mini Golf.   AMENITIES Tent camping is available - We have few tent sites. RV hookups are available - It depends on the weekend. We have Seasonal camping as well as transient. Pets are allowed - Pets are allowed if they are well behaved and on a leash. They are not allowed onto the swim beach but can swim at the boat ramp. Campfires are allowed - Campers must NOT bring in their own wood. We must protect the trees from bugs. We have wood to sell. Campfires must not be too large and allowed to extinguish by 11:00 PM. Grocery store nearby - Super WalMart, Grocery stores in neighboring towns. No pool - No, We are located at the inlet to beautiful Lake Manchaug a 360 acre lake. No Game Room Store - We have a small snack shack. There is a super walmat down the street and the Shops at Blackstone valley are a small car ride away.
