Crow's Nest Campground, Maryland Custom Search   This campground, I have stayed at numerous times.? So far I have not had any issues.? Its very quiet in the evening and the owner is very friendly.? However, when pulling into the camp ground there is what seems to be an active trailer park on the right hand side.? The best Sites are located along the stream ending near the upper pools. Says Brandon Crow's Nest Campground is a top selection campground with visitors from Thurmont. You've been indoors       for too much time, you've gotta get out, and Crow's Nest Campground in Maryland is such a nice site. Among the things you can do near Crow's Nest Campground are playing golf, whitewater paddling, hiking, swimming, and fishing,   so running out of exciting things to do won’t happen. Lots of folks stay at Crow's Nest Campground so they can go to Catoctin Mountain Park. The nice people who control this site and the well taken care of facilities makes the trip here worthwhile. A visit to Maryland is not complete without some camping. There's such a great deal of things to do near Crow's Nest Campground, and it's always fun to be here. The 620 feet of elevation difference at close       by Ski Liberty is sheer joy. Ski Liberty boasts 3 feet of wonderful snow per year on its 16 ski trails that are served by its 8 lifts. 25% of the 100 acres of skiing territory at Ski Liberty consist of tough ski trails. But there   are perfect ski trails for little ones and beginners as well; 75% of the ski trails are green and blue. The Rocky Ridge Road to Monocacy River portion has a distance of 5 miles; you run into this section of whitewater on Owens Creek. It's a type I-II section.
