| | 'Come Listen to the Quiet'' Solitude, relaxing and peaceful are 3 words that best desribe this adult only campground (21+). Clean restrooms and laundry, paved roads, friendly and helpful staff, and what a view over the 3000 acre Audubon Property. A canoe or kayak ride is a must! Very close to the Eastern Trail for a scenic hike of nature and wildlife. A tranquil setting but yet close to shopping, fine dining and the beach. Not many activities on site, but no noise either. Also, a strong WiFi signal was nice for a change and cable TV with 70 channels |
at our level site. Highly recommend if staying for a week, month or the season. Plenty to do in the area.
A spree to Two Lights State Park when you're here at Wild Duck Campground is a glorious idea; on a lovely day you obtain a delightful panorama of Scottow Hill from
| Wild Duck Campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Wild Duck Campground a wet site; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is August. At Wild Duck Campground you always meet someone from Scarborough, and if you want to hit the beach, Surfside Beach is close by. Float down the rapids of Saco River in a kayak, and Biddeford Saco Country Club is a golf course close by. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Wild Duck Campground. Duck Campground and is always a joy to go to, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Foxwells Bridge Brook Dam. Scarboro Marshes is a swamp right next door to Wild Duck Campground, and a tour here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Crescent Beach
State Park. This campground is so perfect. On a delightful day it's a perfect idea to spend the day at Old Orchard Beach, and get covered with water paddling on Royal River. Be careful coming to Wild Duck Campground, you might not ever want to go back home again. An afternoon
playing golf at Nonesuch River Golf Club is always a pleasure. Lost Valley is a splendid local ski area; a lake nearby is Rye Pond. The surroundings of this campground have such a vast number of things to offer. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Chandler Brook, and golf can be
played at Willowdale Golf Club. Throughout the months of summer at Wild Duck Campground highs are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Wild Duck Campground tend to be in the 0's.
