White Birches Campground, Maine   We went there in September, but, it seemed like an ideal, quiet place for hikers who may want to get off the beaten track on a very commercial island. The showers were clean, the sites were clean and it was not the most expensive. Forewarned, the shuttle bus doesn't go there, price to pay for remoteness. Says Scott Take a hike on the Beech Mountain West Ridge Trail, and nearby you hit upon Anns Point. A lot of rain falls at White Birches Campground; most of the rain falls through November while August is mostly the driest month. Famous Maine     welcome and the good quality of everything here have folks coming from near and far. The panoramas at Acadia National Park will blow your mind. A visit to Holbrook Island Sanctuary State Park revives the soul, and float down the rapids of Union River in a kayak. If you are in Maine during camping season, you should go camping. Why not pop by close by Heath Brook while you're here at White Birches Campground, and if you want to have a look at some out of the ordinary stuff, have a look at Canada Cliff. Hiking is a popular thing to do around White Birches Campground; Razorback Trail is a wonderful local trail. Lakes are good; Seawall Pond is a lake that's close to White Birches Campground. For the period of the warm months highs here at White Birches Campground get into the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are   in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at White Birches Campground. White Birches Campground is a very popular campground with the folks of Southwest Harbor. White Birches Campground is right by the South Ridge Trail, and Lamoine State Park is a splendid site. Man, is there a load of fun stuff to do in the neighborhood of White Birches Campground. Echo Lake Beach is in close proximity to White Birches Campground if you're in a beach type of mood, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Branch Lake Stream. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the close by outdoors recreation are perfect incentives to come. Why not check out a swamp like Bass Harbor Marsh while you're here at White Birches Campground, and you can hit the beach if you want, Cobble Beach is practically right here. This is such a fine campground. There's perfect hiking along the Cold Brook Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Blue Hill Falls. A lot of folks stay at White Birches Campground when going to Echo Lake Beach. Can't wait to pitch that tent of yours; White Birches Campground in Maine is exactly what you need. As if White Birches Campground wasn't enough, you can also go hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so it's impossible to get bored. This is such a pretty campground. While you're here at White Birches Campground you will meet lots of folks from nearby Southwest Harbor, and the Perpendicular Trail offers hiking at its best. This campground is so fine. If you haven’t been to Maine Acadian Culture, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here, and the peak of China Hill can be made out from White Birches Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. A cool spot to visit in the vicinity of White Birches Campground is Beach Cliff; Great Notch is a glorious place to spend some time. There is so much exciting stuff to do near White Birches Campground, and it unquestionably is a great campground.
