The slopes of Shawnee Peak are so inviting noone can resist, and not far from Vacationland Campground you obtain some brilliant water scenery at Crystal Lake Dam. Maine is a brilliant place for outdoors folks. The great local attractions and such a great variety of outdoors recreation will beyond doubt have you coming back persistently. A lot of rain falls at Vacationland Campground; November is the wettest month with most rain, and September is the month with the least moisture. Lakes are such serene sites, why not take a look at McWain Pond next to Vacationland Campground, and people from Harrison love to come here. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Vacationland Campground, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Vacationland Campground overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Bridgton Highlands Country Club is around here, and the Great Brook Trail is a pleasant hiking trail nearby.
