I used to go to the Birches all the time. Says Jennifer

So much enjoyable stuff to do here at The Birches Campground, too pleasant to be true. For you golfers we recommend nearby Meadows Golf Course, and Peacock Beach State Park is worth a visit. This is such a fun location for a campground. You'll never forgive yourself
if you don’t go skiing at Lost Valley since you're here. This campground is always a diversion. A tour to The Birches Campground wouldn’t be complete without a trip to nearby Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park, and get soaked paddling on Cobbosseecontee Stream.
The Birches Campground is a quite wet place frequently with a large amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most, and September is the month with the least moisture.
Such a splendid selection of attractions and such a splendid variety of

outdoors recreation are great motives to come. Why not have a look at Mill Pond Dam while you're here, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Cobbosseecontee Stream.
Famous Maine kindness and all the entertaining stuff are rather tremendous. The top of Springer Hill is easily seen from The Birches Campground, and paddling on Cathance River is so much fun. The Birches Campground is a very well liked campground by visitors from Litchfield.
For the period of the summer here at The Birches Campground, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. During the winter highs are commonly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for The Birches Campground.
