Whitewater paddling is splendid on Machias River, and there's some flowing water nearby, Mill Creek is a stream you can explore while here. You are in close proximity to Coffins Point since you're here at Sunset Point Campground, and there are
plenty of folks from Harrington here. Sunset Point Campground sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow; the driest of the months is August.
All through the days of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at
Sunset Point Campground, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Sunset Point Campground temperatures drop to the 0's.
