There are great places to discover along the Alder Brook Trail, and let's not forget Little Penobscot Brook which is a stream that you may come across while here. The folks who take care of the campground and the capably kept up facilities are reason enough to come here. There's so much to do close to Old Mill Camping Area, and it is a fun place for the whole family. Don't leave Old Mill Camping Area without first going for |
a hike along the Sally Mountain Trail. This is such a beautiful campground. Hit the slopes at Sugarloaf USA close at hand, and you can go for a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail. Some activities here at Old Mill Camping Area are fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming,
| so probably you want to stay a bit. Old Mill Camping Area gets a typical amount of rain; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Such a nice pick of attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back again and again. This sector of Maine is always a joy to visit throughout camping season.
