Penobscot River - South Branch has a great 17.5-mile-in-length grade I-II whitewater part nearby, the Bridge to Canada Falls Dam sector. The Bridge to Canada Falls Dam sector of Penobscot River - South Branch is advised for novice kayak paddlers. Unsurprisingly, whitewater boating is enjoyable but treacherous; check conditions before you go. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Sally Mountain Trail; it's a fine idea to stop at Little Penobscot Brook.
