If you want to hit the beach, Echo Lake Beach is around here, and nearby you locate the Deer Brook Trail which is a great hiking trail. There's no way to run out of amusing stuff to do near Mt Desert Campground; if you're looking for a magnificent place to go camping for a couple of days, this is a delightful pick. by the people of Northeast Harbor. Summertime at Mt Desert Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Mt Desert
Campground. All our national parks are magnificent spots to go to, and Acadia National Park is no exception, and since you're here, you could go to Sargent Brook. The welcoming reception and the delightful facilities will make you feel great. The great local attractions and
so much stuff to do will absolutely have you coming back many times. There's no way to get bored in Maine if you like the outdoors. Some activities here at Mt Desert Campground are whitewater paddling, swimming, fishing, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. From
Mt Desert Campground you obtain a perfect sight of Norumbega Mountain, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Union River. There's whitewater on Branch Lake Stream for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and on a good day you can take a
hike along the Bald Peak Trail. This campground is so nice. You can take a little tour to Hadlock Upper Dam since you're here at Mt Desert Campground, and a pleasant journey to Southwest Valley is a great way to spend an afternoon. This campground has so much amusing stuff to offer. Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Blue Hill Falls; the sights at Maine Acadian Culture will blow your mind.
