  River - South Branch is suggested for learner whitewater boaters. Kayak paddling could get risky, so check the latest conditions in advance of a trip. If the weather is good here at Moose River Campground, you can go for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail; a day on the slopes of Sugarloaf USA is just what you need. On a good day at Moose River Campground you can take a hike along the Sally Mountain Trail, as expected you could also pop by Holeb Pond since you're here; it's not far at all.
