The folks who look after the campground and the large number of cool things to do are in themselves incentive enough to come here. You certainly must take a look at Damariscotta Lake State Park since you're here at Loon's Cry Campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Loon's Cry Campground; Spring Brook Trail is a great local trail. This is such a charming campground. Get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of St. George River; at Loon's Cry Campground you always meet someone
    from Warren.
Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Loon's Cry Campground. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's; night lows in the 0's for Loon's Cry Campground. Good hiking is available along
the Mount Megunticook Trail. Got cabin fever from too much time indoors, Don't fret; Loon's Cry Campground in Maine is a wonderful place to go.
This is such a great campground. Go for a hike on the Hockomock Nature Trail, and you can run the rapids of Oyster River. The annual rainfall here at Loon's Cry Campground is about average; November is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This sector of Maine has a wonderful deal of outdoors activities offered.
So many local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation
 
are guaranteed to keep you coming back over and over. Loon's Cry Campground is often visited by the people of Warren. Skiing at Camden is one of those things you just should do, and let's not forget Back River which is a stream that you may run into during your stay.
Lake St. George State Park is both wonderful and gorgeous, and it's close to Loon's Cry Campground; why not pop by Warren Sawmill Pond Dam while you're here.
The peak of Stahls Hill can be observed from Loon's Cry Campground, and going for a hike on the Ragged Mountain Trail is always a great adventure. Scores of people camp here to have a look at nearby Damariscotta Lake State Park.
This place, Loon's Cry Campground, it absolutely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. A glorious spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Loon's Cry Campground is Sheepscot River, and there's wonderful hiking along the Mount Battie Trail. There's so many things to do at Loon's Cry Campground including hiking, and whitewater paddling, so running out of cool stuff to do won’t happen.
