run; the US Route 201 Bridge to Canada Falls Lake sector is a nice 11.5-mile-from-beginning-to-end grade I-II run of whitewater. This run of Penobscot River - South Branch is a nice spot for learners in raft paddling. Raft paddling may turn treacherous, so check restrictions in advance of a trip. There is a glorious hiking trail right next door to Jackman Landing Campground called the Sally Mountain Trail; you're sure to come across some nice people from Jackman here.
