Flying Point Campground, Maine

  Lots of folks stay here through their spree to Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Cathance River; you might also want to pay a visit to Sister Island Ledge while you're here at Flying Point Campground. A spree to Flying Point Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to close by Bradbury Mountain State Park, and since you're here you have to check out Brickyard Cove.

    At Flying Point Campground you always meet someone from Freeport; in close proximity to Flying Point Campground you hit upon a golf course called Freeport Country Club. The surroundings of this campground have such a large number of things to offer.
The pleasant reception and
all the fun stuff to do are a delightful draw for scores of people. At Flying Point Campground through the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 20's; overnight lows at Flying Point Campground all through the wintertime generally plunge into the 10's.
This is in fact a fine campground. Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park is worth taking a look at if you're at Flying Point Campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Royal River. It's out of the question to run out of
 
fun stuff to do right next door to Flying Point Campground; campgrounds like these are nice.
If you adore the outdoors, you won’t be dissatisfied; there's whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so almost certainly you want to stay a while. Flying Point Campground is a campground quite frequently visited by residents of Freeport. Hit the slopes at Lost Valley around here, and swing by Little River it's a great spot to check out.

Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Chandler Brook; since you're here and you like golf, you can stop at Mere Creek Golf Course.
Flying Point Campground is a relatively wet place regularly with a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls during November; September is when it's the driest.
