Unsurprisingly, kayak paddling is cool but dangerous; check current conditions before you go.   Reid State Park is a pretty spot any time of year, and a good beach nearby is Mile Beach. If you have a boat, Boothbay Harbor Marina-Pier is a good marina, and Pottle Cove is relatively close. This is a perfect campground. Peacock Beach State Park is a magnificent place to explore, and here at Chewonki Campground you can see Cushman Hill.
