This place is excellent, just explore all the cool things to do near Chewonki Campground. At Hilton Pond Dam close to Chewonki Campground there are some interesting things to see, and when you're here it's always fun to have a look at Reid State Park. Since you might be in a lake
 
visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Dresden Bog Reservoir, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Ward Brook.
Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the fun stuff you can do is hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. Chewonki Campground is to be found in an area with a lot of fun stuff to do, and campgrounds like these are wonderful. The obliging operators of the campground and all the fun stuff beat anything.
Chewonki Campground is a place with many visitors from Wiscasset, and soar down the rapids of Pemaquid River in a kayak. Peacock Beach State Park is a good location to stretch your legs a bit, and get dripping wet paddling on Damariscotta River.
Loads of people stay at this campground for the purpose of being in close proximity to Reid State Park. So many local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back over and over.
