Tannery Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and close by you find the Appalachian National Scenic Trail which is a glorious hiking trail.
A visit to Peacock Beach State Park invigorates the spirit; Lower Wilson Stream Dam is not far at all from Beaver Brook Campground.
Lost Valley is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Cobbosseecontee Stream. Several folks camp here for the purpose of being close to Peacock Beach State Park. This campground has so unbelievably much. Ward Hill can be distinguished from Beaver Brook Campground.
