| | The Carsey family welcomes you to a Downeast camping experience. Our campground is on the ''quiet side'' of Mount Desert Island and only a 10 minute walk from Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse. Each of the 120 shady or wooded sites has a Fireplace and Picnic Table.
We also have Camping Cabins that rent from Saturday to Saturday.
Free WiFi in the RV area and a Computer Station in the Office for camper use.
Free Shuttle Bus comes by the Campground every half hour.

it's a nice idea to spend the day at Cobble Beach, and a journey to Lamoine State Park invigorates the spirit. Blue Hill Falls is a splendid whitewater spot in close proximity to Bass Harbor Campground; you can hit the beach if you want, Echo Lake Beach is practically right here.
A great view of charming Big Rocks is available from Bass Harbor Campground; in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Union River. So many local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation will undeniably have you coming back persistently.
This campground is so great. Good hiking is available along the Harbor Trail, and Maine Acadian Culture is one of the destinations that are good to take a look at close by.

AMENITIES
Tent camping is available - We have two distinctly different tenting areas away from the RV sections. The ''B'' Section offers sites in the woods with trees overhead and between the sites. The ''C'' Section is la large grassy field with the sites situated around the edge of the field, backing into the trees. Some of the sites are completely surrounded by trees. RV hookups are available - 30 RV hookups - We have 30 RV Sites with hookups ranging from pull-throughs with 30/50 amps, water, sewer and cable TV; 30 amp back in sites with water, sewer and cable TV; 30 amp back-in sites with water; Pop-up and small trailer or Van with 20 amp and water. Pets are allowed - We are pet friendly. We have a fenced in Dog Run. Campfires are allowed - There is a fire ring and a picnic table at every Site. Has Store - We have a Camp Store with snacks, coffee, ice cream, and some basic camping necessities. Grocery store nearby - A full service General Store about a mile from the Campground Pool - Our Heated Pool is open from 9:00 am to Dusk Game Room - Ping Pong, TV
