River Lake, Louisiana   River Lake is a very popular campground with the residents of Oscar. The kind people working here and the well taken care of facilities have folks coming here. River Lake is a quite wet place generally with a great deal of rainfall; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and October is when it's the driest. If you're here at River Lake, you could pop by Discharge Bayou; don't leave without popping by Lake Fausse Pointe State Park. During the warm days of summer at River Lake temperatures are commonly in the 90's. Once     the sun is down it descends down to the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while the cold winter nights at River Lake are in the 30's. Even though there's not that much amusing stuff to do near River Lake, camping is such a fun thing to do, and this is a glorious place to do that.
