Zilpo - Daniel Boone National Forest, Kentucky   Some of the things you can do here at Zilpo are whitewater paddling, fishing, swimming, and playing golf, so you won’t run out of things to do. This is a good campground. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Howard's Creek, and places like Blue Licks Battlefield State Park are tremendous to check out. Zilpo is situated in a neighborhood with lots of cool things to do, and it's one of those sites where everything is wonderful. Lots of precipitation falls at Zilpo; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. Paddling on Jouett Creek is so much fun, and golf can be played at Sportland Golf Course. Zilpo is a top selection with the folks in Winchester. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always   go whitewater paddling on Four Mile Creek, and since you're here, you could also take a look at beautiful Winchester Reservoir. All through the warm days of summer at Zilpo highs are generally in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad chillier of course, generally in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Zilpo during the wintertime frequently drop into the 20's.
