Mountains. A visit to Lake Linville wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Daniel Boone National Forest, and going for a hike along the Rockcastle Narrows Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Lots of folks from Mount Vernon come to Lake Linville,
and do take a hike on the Winding Stain Gap Trail. You need to get out, and Lake Linville in Kentucky is a good location to go. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Linville. Glide down the rapids of Rockcastle River in a kayak; if you're here you can take a hike along the Cane Creek Trail. This campground is so great. If you come at the right time of year, Buck Creek offers some perfect whitewater.
