Holly Bay Campground, Cumberland Plateau Mountains, Kentucky   I have camped in this campground for years. I now live in Ks and when I come back to visit this is were I stay. I have visited campgrounds in many states in the last few years and this is the best campground I have ever stayed in. It is beautiful and each site is private. Even my husband who is from Minn admits it is the best campgound he has ever stayed at. This section of Kentucky is always a diversion to go to through     camping season. Holly Bay Campground is a campground loved by the folks of London. Holly Bay Campground is to be found in a region with lots of enjoyable stuff to do, and to be here is always fun. Good hiking is available along the Cane Creek Trail; get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Laurel River. A lot of precipitation falls at Holly Bay Campground; July is the wettest month with most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. Just can't get enough of Holly Bay Campground. Go for a hike on the Rockcastle Narrows Trail, and Holly Bay Campground is a place with many visitors from London. Summertime at Holly Bay Campground comes with high temperatures in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun   is down during the winter temperatures at Holly Bay Campground sink into the 20's. The staff of this great campground and all the enjoyable stuff beat anything. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the fun stuff you can do is hiking, and whitewater paddling, so it's out of the question to get bored. The Sheltowee Trace Trail offers hiking at its best, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Rockcastle River. This campground is a good site to stop at. You can run the rapids of Bark Camp Creek close to Holly Bay Campground, and a spree to Daniel Boone National Forest rejuvenates the soul. So much cool stuff in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, just tremendous. There's splendid hiking along the Bee Rock Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Going for a hike on the Winding Stain Gap Trail is always a perfect adventure; Cumberland Falls State Park is a great spot. The tremendous local attractions and such a tremendous variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back many times.
