recreation is bountiful, some of the exciting stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so there's no way to get bored. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Glenn's Creek, and close to Elkhorn Campground
| you stumble on a golf course called Juniper Hills Golf Course. Any time is a great time at Elkhorn Campground if you like the outdoors. If you come at the right time of year, Elkhorn Creek offers some great whitewater, and Duckers Lake Golf Course is a golf course close by. As long as you fancy the outdoors you will fancy Kentucky. This campground is so brilliant. You'll meet a lot of people from Frankfort here, and Hickman Hill is stunning and can be observed from here. at Old Fort Harrod State Park, and if you've had enough of Elkhorn Campground, Silver Lake is close by. General Butler State Park is a fine location to stretch your legs a bit. Elkhorn Campground gets a great deal of water; through May this area sees the most rain, and January
meanwhile is the driest month. At Elkhorn Campground all through the summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Elkhorn Campground.
