Scott County Park is a good place of normal rain; through the month of June you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Scott County Park mostly tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Scott County Park are in the 0's.
A visit to Scott County Park wouldn’t be complete without a journey to close by Maquoketa Caves State Park.

This part of Iowa is always a delight to stop at through camping season. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the cool stuff
| you can do is relaxing, and playing golf, so perhaps you want to stick around for a while. The positive environment and the great facilities beat anything.
Ski Snowstar has great slopes and a friendly staff, and playing golf is lots of fun at Springbrook Country Club. You've got to get out of the house; Scott County Park is a fine local campground if you happen to be in Iowa. The great local attractions and such a great variety of outdoors recreation are great reasons to come.

with many visitors from Long Grove; a round of golf at nearby Rustic Ridge Golf Course is a tremendous way to kill some time. It's just not possible to run out of exciting things to do right next door to Scott County Park; it really is a fine campground.
