Decorah City Campground, Iowa   We have camped here for more than 25 years and it is one of our favorite campgrounds. It is well maintained, well run, quiet, has clean bathrooms, and grassy campsites. The City of Decorah has much to offer visitors to the area. Here you will find Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum, Vanberia for those special gifts, Nordic Fest the last full weekend in July, Luther College, many parks and areas to bike and hike, plus canoeing and tubing on the river. Beaver Creek Valley State Park is a splendid     location; hiking is a popular thing to do around Decorah City Campground; Twin Springs Trail is a magnificent local trail. People from Ossian love to come to Decorah City Campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Oneota Drive Recreational Trail. The staff of this perfect campground and the delightful facilities will make you feel great. From a rain point of view Decorah City Campground is a pretty normal place; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January. Going for a weekend of camping here in Iowa is something you should do. Decorah City Campground is loved by people of Ossian. Don't leave Decorah City Campground without first checking out Pulpit Rock, and hiking along the Ice Cave Hill Trail is great fun. There's so many things to do next to Decorah City Campground,   and when you're here you're always having a perfect time. And that's not all you can do here at Decorah City Campground. Take a hike on the Lower Ice Cave Trail. High temperatures at Decorah City Campground throughout the warm days of summer are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's.
