| | We have camped here for more than 25 years and it is one of our favorite campgrounds. It is well maintained, well run, quiet, has clean bathrooms, and grassy campsites. The City of Decorah has much to offer visitors to the area. Here you will find Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum, Vanberia for those special gifts, Nordic Fest the last full weekend in July, Luther College, many parks and areas to bike and hike, plus canoeing and tubing on the river. From a rain point of view Decorah City Campground is a pretty normal place; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January. Going for a weekend of camping here in Iowa is something you should do. Decorah City Campground is loved by people of Ossian.
