Sugar Mill Lake and Campgrounds, Indiana   Sugar Mill Is one of the cleanest and well run campgrounds I have been too in the state like it so much after camping there a couple of times we bought a travel trailer are now permanent campers there and go almost every weekend in the Summer's have playgrounds for the kids,fishing and swimming Says Ronald +Debra Sprague Well we are back for our 4th year and we love this place as much as we did the frist time we came here.I dont know why on one else has written a review must not know about the web sight.it sure is a great place to camp.see every     one in 34 days Says Ron and Deb A lot of folks opt for this campground for the purpose of being in the neighborhood of Shades State Park. Sugar Mill Lake and Campgrounds is fantastically popular with the folks in Hillsboro. You'll meet a lot of people from Hillsboro here, and places like Turkey Run State Park are nice to check out. If you are in Indiana through camping season, you must go camping. This is such a glorious campground. If you come at the right time of year, Indian Creek offers some glorious whitewater; Shades State Park is a brilliant spot to stretch your legs a bit. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Sugar Mill Lake and Campgrounds. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Sugar Mill Lake and Campgrounds are in the 10's. A normal   amount of rainfall falls here at Sugar Mill Lake and Campgrounds; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Big Shawnee Creek, and an afternoon playing golf at Twin Lakes Golf Club is always a pleasure. Get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Rattlesnake Creek. The personnel that runs this campground and all the amusing things attract folks from far and near. So many local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back time and again. As if Sugar Mill Lake and Campgrounds wasn't enough, you can also go whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so you won’t get bored. It's very unhealthy to be in a building every day; you have to get out sometimes, and Sugar Mill Lake and Campgrounds in Indiana is a nice site to go. So many amusing things close to Sugar Mill Lake and Campgrounds, and you always have a nice time when you're here.
