Illini State Park is a delightful place to go if you're at Thousand Trails, and the Beaver Dam Hiking and Cross-Country Ski Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by.
Through the summer months here at Thousand Trails, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; all through the |
dark hours in the winter at Thousand Trails temperatures plunge to the 0's. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Vermilion River, and a quick journey to Mission Creek is absolutely a delightful idea. Coming to this campground is always a tremendous idea.

| Thousand Trails from Sheridan, you won't be the only one, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Covel Creek. This campground is a tremendous place to visit. Paddling on Bailey Creek is so much fun, and nearby you hit upon the Touch the Earth Trail which is a good hiking trail.

Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Herman is close to Thousand Trails, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Fox Ridge Nature
