Hi-tide Recreation, Illinois   Very nice campground. Staff was very nice but owner was very crabby - all the time! Says Christine and Jay Some of the things you can do here at Hi-tide Recreation are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. So     many local attractions and the fine variety of outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back over and over. The workforce of this great campground and all the delightful passtime activities attract people from near and far. Places like Shabbona Lake Park State Park are nice to check out, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Leland for sure. Hi-tide Recreation is a very well liked campground by folks of Leland. With so much stuff to do in Illinois you'll never get bored. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Covel Creek; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Fox Ridge Nature Trail. The amount of rain that falls at Hi-tide Recreation is close to the national average; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other   hand is the driest. Some folks select this campground for the purpose of being near Shabbona Lake Park State Park. Throughout the months of summer here at Hi-tide Recreation, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 20's; nighttime lows at Hi-tide Recreation through the wintertime typically dip into the 0's. Illini State Park is a delightful place to stop at, and going for a hike along the Touch the Earth Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. At Hi-tide Recreation amusing stuff to do is plentiful, and what a great location for camping it is. This campground has so many exciting things to offer. There's whitewater on Tomahawk Creek for all you thrill seekers, and the Beaver Dam Hiking and Cross-Country Ski Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. You really can't spend too much time indoors; you have to get out of the house once in a while, and Hi-tide Recreation in Illinois is exactly the location. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do near Hi-tide Recreation. Get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Vermilion River.
