  They are so much fun...I've been camping there since I was a kid and now my husband and I are getting ready to go on our first camping trip together. We'll be there 8 days and I just can't wait! Finally, the time is right for camping once more, and Hi-tide Recreation, Illinois is a great place for getting out. The kind workforce and the
    perfectly kept up facilities are rather inspiring.
Going to Illini State Park close to Hi-tide Recreation is a great thing to do, and you're sure to encounter some cheerful people from Leland here. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Tomahawk Creek; if the weather is good, you
can go for a hike along the Touch the Earth Trail. This campground is so fine. Glide down the rapids of Covel Creek in a kayak; the Fox Ridge Nature Trail is a fine hiking trail close by.
Hi-tide Recreation is to be found in an area with lots of entertaining things to do, and when you're here you're always having a great time. A number of folks stay here in order to be in the neighborhood of Shabbona Lake Park State Park.
A trip to Shabbona Lake Park State Park when you're here at Hi-tide Recreation is a great idea, and close by you hit upon the
 
Beaver Dam Hiking and Cross-Country Ski Trail which is a great hiking trail. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Hi-tide Recreation reach the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Hi-tide Recreation dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.
Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Hi-tide Recreation. If you come at the right time of year, Vermilion River offers some great whitewater. There's so many things to do at Hi-tide Recreation including hiking, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. The amount of rain that falls at Hi-tide Recreation is close to the national average; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February.
The fine variety of local attractions and such a fine variety of outdoors recreation will positively have you coming back over and over. As long as you go for the outdoors you will go for Illinois.
