Great Oaks, Illinois   As if Great Oaks wasn't enough, you can also go swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so possibly you want to stay a while. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Spring Creek, and lots of people from Lacon come here. Great Oaks gets a common amount of annual rainfall; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. All the pleasant local attractions in close proximity and such a vast number of things to do are sure to keep you coming back time and again. You positively should pop by Marshall State Park if you're here at Great Oaks, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Bailey Creek. Why not explore Barnes Lake Dam if you're here, and get wet paddling on Cedar Creek. There is so much entertaining stuff in close proximity to Great Oaks, and it's always fun being here. With   so much stuff to do in Illinois you'll never get bored. For the period of the warm days of summer at Great Oaks temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Great Oaks temperatures descend to the 10's. This campground is so lovely. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Lacon Country Club, and Great Oaks is in close proximity to Donnelley/Depue State Park which is a beautiful site.
