about four or five then. There are five children in our family and we camped there frequently. Our mother took us there often for two reasons. One to take a break from our every day lives and mostly to get away from my alchoholic father. We went there at all hours of the day

In summertime when the sun was shining we swam almost the whole day and when it rained and the only camping spot left in the middle of the night was going downhill,the rain poured through our tent. Even though we went through some definite times of despair, our mother took us to a place where we could feel safe and try and have some joy in life. I remember sitting around the campfire where there were sing-a-longs after the sun went down. Swimming all day, hiking all day in the trails surrounding the campgrounds with new found friends was always | |

a ton of fun. I have lived in Arizona and California since 1983 and I still have a strong desire to bring my children to a place I called home many a terrifying night. I found comfort in the down to earth spirit of Glenwood Farms. I only hope it is as simple and beautiful as

Very great water scenery is available at Marseilles Dam near Glenwood RV Resort, and it's a good idea to take a look at Gum Creek. This campground is so tremendous. Don't leave Glenwood RV Resort without first going for
a hike along the Beaver Dam Hiking and Cross-Country Ski Trail; Illini State Park is worth taking a look at. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Glenwood RV Resort; the month with most of the rain is June while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
You can run the rapids of Covel Creek right next door to Glenwood RV Resort, and don't leave without going to Buffalo Rock Park & Effigy Tumuli State Park.
Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Glenwood RV Resort rocks! In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always
go whitewater paddling on Bailey Creek; you can go for a hike on the Fox Ridge Nature Trail. A perfect place for whitewater paddling close to Glenwood RV Resort is Vermilion River, and you're sure to stumble upon some cheerful folks from Marseilles here. High temperatures at Glenwood
RV Resort during the summer are in the 80's; the night is a bit chillier of course, commonly in the 60's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 20's, and overnight lows at Glenwood RV Resort through the winter generally fall into the 0's.
This is such a tremendous campground.
