There's no way to run out of fun stuff to do close to Double M Campground; it is a great campground. Here at Double M Campground there are plenty of folks from Junction, and you definitely must stop at     Shawnee National Forest if you're here. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lusk Creek, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Beaver Trail. Double M Campground gets a good deal of water; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is January. Kuykendall Valley is a great location to spend some time at, and hiking along the Beaver Trail is pleasant fun. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Double M Campground, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Double M Campground tend to be in the 20's. Harmonie State Park is both perfect and stunning, and it's in close proximity to Double M Campground. A campground   like this is too glorious to miss. Bear Branch has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the River to River Trail. When was the last time you went for a camping trip?
