Cahokia RV Parque, Illinois   We spent a couple of nights at the Cahokia RV Parque recently and we were very satisfied. The location is off of a main road (IL 3) which makes it noisy, but easily accessible. The park is very close to downtown STL; about 5 miles. It is in a commercial area, close to East St. Louis, but we felt secure and comfortable. Though small and tightly spaced like most city RV parks, it is well kept. The only two complaints we had was the lack of cable TV and free WiFi. Though the park does have WiFi, there is a daily charge. Service was excellent, and the people     were very helpful, courteous and accommodating. We were at first hesitant based on a previous review, but was surprised to be greeted and helped by some of the best parks staffers I have met. We looked at two other RV parks in the STL downtown area, and Cahokia Parque was easily the best. I would highly recommend this park to anyone travelling to or through St. Louis. Says Kevin Nearby lakes? Sure, Prairie Lake is in the vicinity of Cahokia RV Parque, and Castlewood State Park is a tremendous location. Swamps can be such out of the ordinary places, visit Cahokia Slough since you're here at Cahokia RV Parque, and of course, everyone loves Route 66 State Park. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Cahokia RV Parque with night lows in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and overnight   lows at Cahokia RV Parque all through the winter ordinarily descend into the 10's. So much exciting stuff near Cahokia RV Parque, simply impressive. Don't forget to take a perfect little visit to Dead Creek, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Pevely Golf Club. An average amount of precipitation falls at Cahokia RV Parque; the month with most of the rain is May while January is generally the driest month. This is a good campground. Get soaked paddling on Mississippi River, and if you're a golfer then a delightful close by course is Columbia Bridges Golf Course. You'll meet a lot of people from East Saint Louis here; a round of golf at nearby Glen Echo Country Club is a great way to kill some time. Gotta ski! Hidden Valley is a magnificent place to do that.
