Tumuli State Park is a great spot to check out; a game of bowling is fun at nearby Bowl-Rite Lanes. This is such a wonderful campground. Lakes are wonderful; Spring Lake is a lake that's close to Ayers Landing Canoes. There is a glorious hiking trail near Ayers Landing Canoes called the Touch the Earth Trail, and if you have a boat, Starved Rock Marina is a good marina.
