| go whitewater paddling on Floodwood Creek.
An average amount of rain falls at Wilderness Gateway; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the exciting stuff you can do is fishing, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t get bored. Such a pleasant choice of attractions and such an incredible array of things to do are certain to keep you coming back over and over.

Gateway. A journey to Winchester Lake State Park when you're here at Wilderness Gateway is never a bad idea.
It's just not possible to run out of cool stuff to do next to Wilderness Gateway; if you're trying to locate a tremendous site to go for a camping trip, this is a nice
choice. The warmest time of the year at Wilderness Gateway arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Wilderness Gateway fall into the 10's.
