| Winchester Lake State Park is a fine idea. Among the things you can do close to Wilderness Gateway are whitewater paddling, and relaxing, so almost certainly you want to stay a while. Wilderness Gateway is a very popular campground among people of Orofino. At Wilderness Gateway during the summertime months highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Wilderness Gateway. The Clearwater Mountains scenery is always pretty. Idaho is a fine spot for campers. | |

Loads of people opt for this campground when they come to stop by Dworshak State Park. There are plenty of people from Orofino here at Wilderness Gateway, and a tour here wouldn’t be complete without a journey to nearby Dworshak State Park. A nice location for whitewater paddling
close to Wilderness Gateway is Lolo Creek, and if you're here, you could go to Falls Creek. The annual rain here at Wilderness Gateway is about average; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is July.
