| | This section of Idaho is always a joy to stop by through camping season. A number of folks stay at this campground to be in the vicinity of Eagle Island State Park. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Grimes Creek; a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to close by Lucky Peak State Park.

| the driest month. Threemile Creek is a brilliant local stream, and going for a hike on the Hulls Gulch Nature Trail is always a great adventure.
Mores Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by, and a lake nearby is Lake Elmore. This is a glorious campground. If you're visiting Shafer Butte from Boise City-Nampa, you won't be the only one.
