| | The tremendous local attractions and the tremendous variety of outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. The great folks of Burley like to hang out nearby, and Massacre Rocks State Park is a delightful spot to explore.
Minidoka Dam is worth a visit while you're here, and the slopes of Pomerelle Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. All the lively people and the prettiness of the place are in themselves motive enough to come here.

There's plenty of outdoors recreation available in close proximity such as swimming, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so it's just not possible to get bored. This is a magnificent campground. Get soaked paddling on Snake River, and a lake close by is Lake Walcott.
| Summertime at Lake Walcott State Park arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Lake Walcott State Park dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
City Of Rocks National Reserve is a wonderful local destination here at Lake Walcott State Park. Idaho is a good outdoors state.
Finally, camping season is here again; Lake Walcott State Park is a good local campground if you happen to be in Idaho. Lake Walcott State Park gets very little rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest. | |
