You can run the rapids of Coeur d'Alene River - Little North Fork close to Farragut State Park; Pack River is a great whitewater spot close by. Some activities here at Farragut State Park are hiking, and whitewater paddling, so in all probability you want to stay a while. |

Don't leave Farragut State Park without first going for a hike along the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail, and needless to say, everybody loves Farragut State Park. Many people camp here in order to be next to Farragut State Park. There is a good hiking trail right next door to Farragut State Park called the Leiberg-Athol Trail, and Round Lake State Park is worth visiting. State Park fun stuff to do is plentiful; what a good spot for camping it is. The tremendous variety of local attractions and so many things to do will make you glad you came. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Farragut State Park. Go for a hike on the Green
Mountain Trail, and there's whitewater on Pack River for all you adrenaline junkies. From a rain point of view Farragut State Park is a relatively normal location; December is when you get the most snow here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. For the period of the warm months
at Farragut State Park temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Farragut State Park overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Good hiking is available along the Upper Declaration Trail; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Schweitzer.
