Buttermilk - Targhee National Forest, Idaho Custom Search   This is such a perfect campground. This is a pleasant area for people who like lakes. Ririe Reservoir is a lake nearby, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Kelly Canyon if you're here. Buttermilk gets very little precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's heaps of outdoors recreation available in close proximity such as hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so it's not possible to get bored. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody     but if it's for you then we recommend Blackfoot River. In Idaho you never run out of outdoors amusing stuff. So many local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation are great causes to come. Buttermilk is located in an area with scores of amusing stuff to do; it's always fun being here. The pleasant reception and all the amusing stuff beat anything. On a good day you can take a look at Hodges Slough, a swamp in the vicinity of Buttermilk; if you're dropping by from Idaho Falls, you won't be the only one. Buttermilk is a very popular campground with people in Iona. During the warmest time of the year at Buttermilk temperatures are generally in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; night lows at Buttermilk throughout the wintertime usually plunge into the   0's. Get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Blackfoot River, and you can go for a hike on the Portneuf Presto Trail. Camping out positively is a fun thing to do; Buttermilk in Idaho is a delightful selection.
