Barneys - Boise National Forest, Idaho

| | The folks who take care of the campground and all the exciting stuff to do have people coming here. You can run the rapids of Payette River near Barneys; Lucky Peak State Park is a pretty location any time of year. Barneys is generally a reasonably dry spot; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Loads of people select this campground so they can go to Eagle Island State Park.
Barneys is right by the Hulls Gulch Nature Trail; a day on the slopes of Bogus Basin is just what you need. |

A visit to Idaho is not complete without some camping. Eagle Island State Park is a great location to stretch your legs a bit, and Barneys is not far at all from Boise City-Nampa.

Barneys is a campground reasonably frequently visited by people of Boise. Some of the things you can do here at Barneys are
fishing, swimming, playing golf, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so possibly you want to stick around for a while. This campground is a nice location to explore. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mores Creek.
Barneys in fact is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. Barneys is not the only location close by, Lake Elmore is a close by lake; if you're here you can play some golf at Plantation Country Club.
