Sandy Bottom is right here at Toccoa Valley Campgrounds, and going for a hike on the Tearbritches Trail is always a glorious adventure. A visit to Hurricane Gap is always fun, and Rocky Point is not far at all.
As if Toccoa Valley Campgrounds wasn't sufficient,
 
you can also go hiking, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Toccoa Valley Campgrounds called the Black Mountain Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Morganton here at Toccoa Valley Campgrounds. The high level of precipitation makes Toccoa Valley Campgrounds a rather wet spot; the wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains the most, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area in the vicinity of Toccoa Valley Campgrounds has to offer. Amicalola Falls and Lodge State Park is a wonderful location, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Benton Mackaye Trail. It's just not possible to run out of entertaining stuff to do right next door to Toccoa Valley Campgrounds; when you're here you're always having a great time.
