Hiking along the DeSoto Falls Trail is perfect fun; there's whitewater on Dodd Creek for all you thrill seekers. Mountain Lakes Resort is a campground rather often visited by the folks of Cleveland.
Mountain Lakes Resort gets a large amount of water; all through March this area sees the most
    rain, and the driest of the months is October. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always wonderful. Can't wait to raise that tent; Mountain Lakes Resort in Georgia is a perfect place to go.
This campground is so wonderful. There's brilliant hiking along the Whitly Gap Trail,
and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Chattahoochee River. There's so many things to do in close proximity to Mountain Lakes Resort, and you always have a perfect time when you're here. A nice location like Chattahoochee National Forest in the vicinity of Mountain Lakes Resort is too fine to leave out, and Mountain Lakes Resort is right by the Chattahoochee Trail.
You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Don't leave Mountain Lakes Resort without
 
going to Unicoi State Park; a quick journey to Cox Creek is definitely a great idea. The kind reception and loads of amusing things to do makes the visit here worthwhile.
High temperatures at Mountain Lakes Resort through the summer are in the 80's, and the night is a bit chillier of course, typically in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Mountain Lakes Resort temperatures sink to the 20's. As if Mountain Lakes Resort wasn't sufficient, you can also go whitewater paddling, fishing, swimming, and hiking, so running out of enjoyable stuff to do won’t happen. If you are in Georgia all through camping season, you should go camping.
This is in fact a pleasant campground. You get a good panorama of Leadpole Mountain from Mountain Lakes Resort, and get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Tesnatee Creek. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best, and Mountain Lakes Resort is a location with many visitors from Cleveland. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Don't leave Mountain Lakes Resort without first going for a hike along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail, and you're almost certainly interested in lakes, Lake Qualatchee is one of those close by.
