State Park. This campground is always a delight. One of the major traits of the surroundings of Lightners RV is Wellborn Mountain, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Helton Creek. A number of folks stay at Lightners RV when going
to Vogel State Park. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Looking for some flowing water? Try Little Creek, and Chattahoochee National Forest is worth stopping at. The warmest time of the year brings
highs in the 80's to Lightners RV with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lightners RV are in the 20's. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lightners RV; DeSoto Falls Trail is a brilliant local trail, and there's
whitewater on Blood Mountain Creek for all you thrill seekers. In Georgia you never run out of outdoors fun stuff. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lightners RV a wet place; most of the rain falls during March while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
