During the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Lake Oconee Center while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Lake Oconee Center through the wintertime commonly dip into the 30's. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Murder Creek, and do take a hike on the Mounds Trail. Lake Oconee Center is a wet |
spot that gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout March, and October is when it's the driest. This is such a glorious campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Scull Shoals Trail, and there's great hiking along the Twin Bridges Trail. It's
