You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area right next door to Georgia Mountain Campground has to offer. If you're going to Georgia Mountain Campground from Hiawassee, you won't be the only one, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Hiwassee River and High Shoals Creek. And that's not all you can do here at Georgia Mountain Campground. The surroundings of this campground have such a great deal of things to offer. Moccasin Creek State Park is a good place to have a look at, and there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
On a delightful day you obtain a vista of Lloyd Mountain from Georgia Mountain Campground, and nearby you come across the Raven Cliff Falls Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Georgia Mountain Campground a wet spot; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
High temperatures at Georgia Mountain Campground during the summer are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Georgia Mountain Campground.
