| | I stayed there twice in May and it is one of the nicest campgrounds I have ever stayed at. The location next to the river is great, what a beautiful river, the facilities were clean and modern and the locals could not have been nicer. Well off the beaten path, but close enough to town, I woul dreccommend this site to anyone. I can't wait to go back! Says Greg Miles

At Majors Lake Dam near Etowah River Campground there are some interesting things to see, and Etowah River Campground is in close proximity to Vogel State Park which is a gorgeous site. Scores of folks choose this campground for the purpose of being in the neighborhood of Amicalola Falls and Lodge State Park. This part of Georgia has a pleasant deal of outdoors activities available. fishing, playing golf, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. That right there is heaps of fun things already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Good hiking is available along the Benton Mackaye Trail; you can go for a hike on the Black Mountain Trail. Etowah
River Campground is a top selection with the folks from Dahlonega. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Etowah River Campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Etowah River Campground; Duncan Ridge Trail is a glorious local trail, and not far from
Etowah River Campground you'll locate Majors Lake which is a pretty lake. During the summertime months here at Etowah River Campground, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Highs during the winter are frequently
in the 40's while Etowah River Campground nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. This is a nice campground. Whitewater paddling is fine on Etowah River; Mud Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. There's great hiking along
the DeSoto Falls Trail, and lots of folks from Dahlonega come here. Camping out really is a fun thing to do, and Etowah River Campground in Georgia is a pleasant pick. Etowah River Campground is a perfect camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Blue Ridge Mountains.
This campground is so nice. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Coosa Backcountry Trail. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Nicklaus Golf Club at Birch River, and you undeniably should check out Amicalola Falls and Lodge State Park if you're here.
